Little knowledge about Vikings
Notice: I’m not an expert, no professor, just an amateur in science.

Sweyn Forkbeard (Sven Tveskägg) Danish viking who became the conqueror of England. He was the King of England 1013-1014.

Rurik, the viking who founded the Russian Empire, ruled between 862-879. Unfortunately there has been doubts about facts proving Rurik was a viking from around Stockholm and Roslagen. The Russian/Ukranian monk who delievered the story of Rurik (the Grandfather to the first Russian tsar Vladimir I), was called Nestor the Chronicler. He wrote the story somewhere between the years 1080-1100 some 200 years after Ruriks death. Personally I don’t think 200 years is such a long time for telling the truth of big events.

Normandie in France got it’s name after ”northman”. The vikings who got the land in the year 911.

Leif Ericsson 970-1020, was a Norse /Icelandic viking who first found North Amerika and Vinland long before Columbus.

I had a Moroccan colleague in Stockholm whom I haven’t seen for 25 years. He told me that there is a village somewhere in the Atlas mountains in Morocco where the people are blond.
