I don’t have the real English idiom for this swedish expression.
It’s better to ”stämma i bäcken än i ån”. That is, it’s better to stop a little hazardous stream than later a catastrophic flood. In other words: ”Prison for Feminists!!”, a wise person thought 44 years ago.
